The Challenge
VIP Boat Hire is a Sydney based company that hires out boats, but not the usual vessels you’re thinking of. Luxury boats and yachts are VIP’s main product and they came to us seeking a high performance website that had the same luxury, extravagance and authority as their high class vessels.
The Solution
For this project, we took direct inspiration from the extravagant boats that VIP offered their customers and incorporated it straight into the web design. Our team used luxurious, bold colours such as gold and blue to create an opulent atmosphere and used striking, cursive fonts to emphasise the feelings of lavishness and indulgence.
A smooth user experience was also a point of emphasis when creating the website. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for visitors to find the boat that they’re looking for. We put a big focus on ease of use, especially with the search function, simple and informative copy, and large, eye-catching call-to-action buttons.
Because VIP Boat Hire has a significant range of boats, we put into extra effort in the website’s search function, including various filters based on a wide range of criteria, including number of guests, price and boat type.
